Food for Happiness

"Liu Mao-Hsing, or Mao to his friends, is a young boy from the Szechuan region of China whose amazing tongue, indomitable spirit, and sense of creativity enables him to be a great chef. His late mother, Pai, serves as constant inspiration to this child prodigy, and her memory often serves to assist him in his many cooking battles. Mei Li, the daughter of Super Chef Chouyu, serves as fan service and a love interest for Mao, and Shirou serves as comic relief. His constant quest is to improve and to bring happiness to the people through food."

Siri Cooking Master Boy (CMB) yg juga dikenali di Jepun sbg 'Chuuka Ichiban!' (China's Best) berjumlah 52 episod kesemuanya telah tamat tayangannya sjk ia mula disiarkan pd taun 2002 (terbitan manga - '97). 4 taun telah berlalu dan akhirnya anime ala2 'Iron Chef' nie telah jatuh ke tgn aku sbg santapan jiwa di kala idle... mmg kewl! Inilah hadiah teristimewa dr member kamcing aku, Ramon (abg kpd housemate aku, Jai dan raja anime kami!) pas aku berjaya settlekan kesemua 171 episod Naruto yg dia kasi dulu... expect more to come! :)

My 1st impression after I finished watching d 1st couple episodes would be... hmm... weell... CMB is not at all entertaining as Naruto-kun n I really dun like d way it exaggerates d cooking style n delicacy... d whole idea just dun get to me... sori Ramon :( But then... as d story progresses onward, I've come to realize how brilliantly CMB began to surface me out from Naruto over-shadowing as another gud story-telling anime... dattebayo! Dis story embraces every aspect of food making (which impressively includes detail theory behind it... wow!) n of course... d enjoyment u get from it. Tq Ramon!

CMB membawa 1 pengertian mendalam yg dah lama aku tahu tanpa sedar... Makanan kegemaran kita sebenarnya adalah ungkapan unik bg makanan yg boleh menimbulkan keghairahan dan kegembiraan dlm diri kita... betul x kwn2?! Bergantung pd setiap individu, ciri pd makanan tu mungkin berbeza2... ada yg gemar pd makanan 'pedas kaw' sampai meleleh air idong, ada gak yg terdorong pd makanan yg mahal2 dan exclusive gitu... even ada org dlm dunia nie yg sanggup telan menda2 pelik (cacing, lipan, tapir, beruk, Bush... opss :p) asalkan dpt khasiat yg kononnya baik utk kesihatan diaorg... mcm2 ada beb!
Drpd pengertian kritis nie *teet* :p aku mula phm dan leh relate secara x langsong pd permasalahan dalaman yg aku alami skrg... kurang selera mkn :( Nak kata x sihat... alhamdulillah, setakat nie kesihatan aku masih lg di tahap memuaskan (syukran ya Allah) dan aku still maintain suma daily-routine exercise (jgn x caya beb!)... hmm... x byk choice tempat mkn ker? Well... umah sewa aku skrg kat Kg Melayu Subang... dan kat sana tu, tempat mkn mmg bercambah mcm cendawan tumbuh... Adding more to it, most of them are Malay outlets... so I should have no problem finding gud food... does it?!A common understanding yg aku pasti korang suma pon agreed ialah kebanyakan kedai2 mkn kat luar tu (Malay outlet yg sebaris pjg tp jual d same food menu... sigh!) hanya jual makanan yg mempunyai standard quality 'janji jual'... x caya ckp aku nnt cuba korang order nasi daging paprik ngan nasi daging masak merah... well, apa yg korang akan dpt nnt adalah 2 hidangan yg tiada keunikan rasa langsong disbbkan adunan yg bercampur-gaul dr kuali yg sama.. try it! Customer service xyah ceta la kan... well... aku pon x kisah sgt beb... janji makanan yg aku byr dgn pitis aku tu meets my expectation sudah la! Dats why masa aku menetap di Wangsa Maju (once a glorious settlement), aku slalu cari 'nikmat mkn' nie kat kedai2 mamak yg provide better spices flavor compared to d Malay's... I should know cause gud curry excites me! Tp masalahnya skrg... kedai2 mamak yg berniaga kat Kg Melayu Subang nie pon x best langsong... all dis mamak hanya tau buat kari yg serba x jd... which eventually downgrade d whole nasi kandar ingredients... huhuhu... cian kan kat aku?!

Aku pastinya xkan melupakan tempat2 yg berjaya beri saat keseronokan ketika menyental nie. Restoran Zam-zam, Subri, Bismillah, Hj Tapah (Melawati), Nasi Antarabangsa (Sri Rampai), Sate Kajang, Alladin Cafe dan byk lg food outlets yg aku x ingat nama dia... aku pasti kembali jika ada kesempatan... n dats a promise... insyaAllah!

erkk...paprik daging ngan daging masak merah tu benda yg sama la bieyangggg...perkataan paprik tu dipinjam dari base siam yg bermaksud lauk masak merah...no wonder la if they will look a like ;)...

hmm..kalu nak ikot meaning yg betul betul macam dalam wikipedia tuh...ternyata la lain especialy in its ingredients..x pe lah..memana pun ok..no harm done!

tapi memangpon..ade gak sekali tu order padprik tp x rasa padprik langsung but more to daging masak merah malaysia..sbb tak de bau keharuman onions ngan daun limau..x sedap plak tu..mungkin this scenario will confusing local padprik fans =)
